The Port Dickson chapter of Soul Searchers in Malaysia, with the blessings of Maitreya Prabhu Rudrabhayananda ji, Mahaprabhu Pinakadrika and Lord Baal, was invited to conduct a Reiki healing program at the Segamat BCSG center on Sunday, 14th March 2010. The BCSG functions as a resource center for breast cancer survivors in and around Segamat, a small town in the central region of Johor state.
We left early on Sunday morning for the 3-hour drive to Segamat. The original group of 4 healers was decimated to 2 by a domestic emergency in the form a burst pipe. Unfortunately, Ma Jayananda and Devatman Jesseca were obliged to stay back to tend to it while Devatman Padma and Devatman Sekhar proceeded to Segamat. The drive was a quiet one, because of the lack of the usual quorum and its attendant noise level.
We were warmly received at the center, and after the formalities, quickly settled into the day’s activities. The most striking feature of this center is the robust and vivacious nature of its members, many of whom are nearing, or even well into, their golden years. Introducing these delightful souls to the healing vibrations of Reiki with the blessings of Baal Mitra Shamas is a privilege we shall always cherish.
The wisecracks and jocular mood of the participants bore testimony to their forbearance and mettle. They participated enthusiastically in the group activities, and were very receptive to the concept of energy healing. A follow up session has been planned in about a month’s time, and this is certainly something that everyone is looking forward to.
