Blessings of the Lord in the infant form overflowed for the humanity on the Makar Sankranti (January 14, 2009) when we all gathered for the celebrations. We were joined by the residents, farming community and the Panchayat Heads of the Kaveripakkam village, 28 kms from Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu.
Lord – let your heart decide the name for Him – came as a child, played with sugarcanes, ran around the piece of land that is bought to serve Him and His children by building a children’s home and an old age home, a temple for the secular divine…a free dispensary, a meditation hall… all in all a place where the common man can come, relax and feel one with his own self.
The Lord agrees with us…
So… He came, He saw, He blessed
Maitreya, lost in His consciousness, presided over the Ganesha puja, Lord Pinaka Ashtottara and chants led by Lord’s own child, Swami Sivananda ji.
While Swami Sivananda ji offered water, flowers, incense and fruits to the Lord, the Lord in turn blessed us with rain. We were drenched in His tears of happiness… it was like He did the abhishekam for this universe.
Maitreya could only feel Him and could only say… “how blessed are we for this blessing!”
Bhole ki baatein, Bhole hi jaane…. (Only He knows His ways)
The sky smiled at us, rain drenched us, the fire kept burning at the altar, earth soaked up the love and the air dried us all up in a jiffy
as if there was no rain… How beautiful!
The group decided to walk the length and the breadth of the land of the Dharmakshetra and followed Maitreya who led the band deep in His dhyan, with Shiva bol, Har bol on every one’s lips.
Each step of the circumambulation matched the breath and the beat of the chant accompanied by the drum.
We will be back on location in early March for laying the foundation stone.
If you happen to read this, we hope that you will join us for this great work for humanity and pitch in with all your might.
The Lord blesses all!
Maitreya is with all!
Namaskar
Srichaitanya
